The baby boom generation is a result of the high birth rate upon finalisation of the second world war. Men would return home to thier wives and start to have families, therefore, 9 months later there would be what the world knows as the baby boom.

This information being supported by present data, with current baby boomers having high disposable income and British boomers specifically held 80% of the UK's wealth and bought 80% of all top of the range cars.
